Engraved bitumen stone ("Dead Sea stone"); sawn shell (mother of pearl).
Two boxes, two small bowls, a saucer, a pestle and mortar and an additional utensil engraved with vegetal and geometric motifs. On the lid of one of the boxes is a sawn shell (mother of pearl) decoration. Most of the utensils are engraved with the inscriptions "Dead Sea Stone" or "Stone from the Dead Sea" in English or French.
Size and condition vary. Wear. Fractures or missing pieces to four of the utensils.

1-2. Two Blue Boxes (different in design), made by Gersonwerk, Berlin, [1920s-1930s]. On the front is a monogram of the letters JNF in an elliptical frame surrounded by points, a relief of a Star of David (inside of which is a lion illustration) and the Hebrew inscription "Keren Kayemet Le'Israel" (Jewish National Fund). On the back is a Star of David, the name of the producer and a suspension loop.
3. Large box (for street contributions), made in Palestine. On the front is a map of Palestine, with territories redeemed by the JNF emphasized. On the back of the box is a suspension loop and a folding handle.
4. Box made in Italy. On the front is a map of Palestine, with territories redeemed by the JNF emphasized. With a suspension loop.
5. Box made in the U.S., [1940s]. On the front is a map of Palestine, from Metula to the Dead Sea. On the back is a Star of David with the Hebrew word "Zion" inside, the Hebrew and Yiddish inscriptions "Geula Titnu LaAretz! Leizt Ois Eretz Israel!" [Grant the Land Redemption!], and the address of the JNF's New York branch.
6. Box made by Alfred Salzmann (printing: A. Levin-Epstein). Palestine, [1940s]. With a map of Palestine, to the Gulf of Aqaba. Suspension loop.
