The Israeli flag that flew from the ‘Exodus’ refugee ship was sold for 144,000$ and donated by the buyers, two Jewish American brothers, to the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington - an article in The Times of Israel.
The flag was to be auctioned publicly at Kedem, but was withdrawn after the brothers reached an agreement to buy it and then donate it to the Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington.
Meron Eren, co-founder of Kedem, was quoted saying "My personal preference is to always have national institutions as the buyers of historical items…".
