Pnei Yehoshua, Volume Five, on Tractates Bava Kama, Bava Metzia, Bava Batra, Makot and Chulin. Warsaw. 1874. On title page inscription and signature: "This book belongs to me, Meir David Tabak, dayan and rabbi here in Sighet". A number of scholarly glosses and various handwritten inscriptions [some in his handwriting, possibly some written by his father, author of “Erech Shai”]. On the last page are inscriptions by Rabbi "Shlomo Leib".
Rabbi Meir David Tabak (1850-1936, Otzar HaRabbanim 13046), son of the renowned Torah genius Rabbi Shlomo Yehuda Leib Tabak Rosh Av Beit Din of Sighet, author of “Erech Shai” and “Teshurat Shai” (1832-1908). Disciple of the Rahak of Sieniawa. Served as dayan and Rabbi of Kretchinef and succeeded his father as Av Beit Din of Sighet. According to his tombstone, he wrote a book called “Birkat Shadayim” but apparently, it was never printed.
