Notebook of piyutim and prayers, betrothal blessing etc. Written in Oriental handwriting, artistic writing, ornamented with geometric shapes and several colored-inks (black, blue, red). [c.18th-19th century].
At the beginning of the notebook is a special decoration for Shiviti Hashem L'Negdi Tamid. The decorations throughout the notebook are diversely shaped. Usually, they are in the form of a gate but some pages have the piyutim written in the shape of a Magen David, vases with flowers, trees, candles and other forms. An exceptional and impressive item.
More than 200 written pages. 11.5X20 cm. Good-fair condition, stains. New leather binding. Library stamps.

Illustrated manuscript on parchment. Passover Haggada, according to Moshe's life history. [Israel, 2005].
Handsome scribal writing on light-colored parchment leaves by the scribe Ezra Ozeri, with hand-crafted color illustrations by Susu Zhvitiashvili.
Throughout the Haggada are many artistic illustrations describing the life of Moshe from birth to death, combined with episodes of the Exodus from Egypt and the journey through the desert [the ten plagues, the splitting of the Red Sea, Mount Sinai, etc.].

Menorah placed within envelope with Oriental handwritten notation from 1935: “This Menorah was given to me as a gift by Rabbi Yosef, uncle of my father in month of Adar 1, 1935; he received it from my grandfather, the righteous Solomon in Letchworth in month of Kislev 1893. Young Parcha”.
Mrs. Parcha (Flora) Feuchtwanger, daughter of well-known philanthropist Rabbi David Solomon Sassoon (1881-1942), son of Rabbi Solomon son of David Sassoon of Bombay (who passed away in Bombay, 1894). Scholarly woman who absorbed much knowledge and wisdom from her private tutors who taught the children of the Sassoon family, in their mansion in Letchworth, England.
