Approx. 60 photographs arranged in an album, prepared as a souvenir for Malka Teblinsky, a kindergarten teacher from Bialystok who immigrated to Palestine in the 1920s. Tel-Aviv, Tel-Hai, Acre and other locations in Palestine and Europe, ca. 1920s.
The album includes numerous photographs of Teblinsky with kindergarten children (during Hanukkah, during a visit to a dairy in Tel-Aviv, working in a garden and more); numerous photographs of workers and pioneers (preparing cement blocks, paving roads, building barracks and buildings, and more); and photographs of views in Palestine (group visit to the Roaring Lion memorial in Tel-Hai, bicycle ride in the fields, photographs from the beach, and more). The album also includes about twenty photographs from the period prior to her immigration to Palestine, documenting her life and work as a kindergarten teacher in Europe.
On the first page appears a handwritten dedication (in Yiddish, partially deleted) to Teblinsky from her cousin, Hannah.
Most photographs are divided on the back for use as a postcard. Four photographs are stamped by the photographers: "Z. Brill"; "Zalmania D. Pozen"; and A. Tikotskj". A number of photographs are titled and dated by hand (on the margins and on the back) or in the plate (in Hebrew).
Size and condition vary. Average size: approx. 14X9 cm. Good-fair overall condition. Stains and blemished (mostly slight). A number of photographs are mounted on album's leaves or attached with adhesive tape. One photograph is missing a corner.
Album size: approx. 35.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains, creases and small tears (at margins and at the openings for insertion of photographs, some restored with adhesive tape). Some worming. Decorated binding, rubbed, with tears and defects.

Jugend-Alijah [Youth Aliyah], a portfolio containing reproductions of photographs and a chart of Youth Aliyah’s activities in 1937. Berlin: Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Kinder-und Jugend-Alijah, [1937]. German.
The portfolio contains 12 plates with reproductions of photographs by Walter Tzedek, Lu Landauer, Herbert Sonnenfeld, and G. Sochaczewski. The photographs depict youth in the Jugend-Alijah school in Berlin before their immigration to Palestine and youth in Tel Aviv, Ein Harod, and other places after immigrating to Palestine via Youth Aliyah, showing young people at work in the fields, tending flocks, and during leisure time, learning trades, and studying religious texts. An additional photograph depicts the Youth Aliyah buildings in Ein Harod. One plate contains photographs of Recha Freier and Henrietta Szold.
The photographs are accompanied by a folded leaf enumerating Youth Aliyah’s activities and accomplishments, with some text on one side and an illustration and a chart on the other. Among the statistics given are: The number of young people brought to Palestine, the number of young people who completed their professional training, and the number of residential communities in Palestine that absorbed the them.
A photograph by Walter Zadek, depicting a teenage girl from Kibbutz Ein Harod playing the accordion, is printed on the cover of the portfolio.
The purpose of the organization's official German name, Jüdische Jugendhilfe [Jewish Youth Aid], was to disguise the organization’s Zionist purpose. Established by Recha Freier in 1933, the organization worked to unify the Jewish youth movements, provide professional training to their members, and obtain permits for immigration to Palestine. Shortly before the outbreak of World War II, the recipients of these permits were chosen with extreme care, and even given medical and physical examinations, due to the difficulty in obtaining immigration permits and absorbing additional immigrants in Palestine.
[12] plates, 15X23 cm + 21X29 cm leaf. Good condition. A small number of stains. Many stains and small tears on the cover. The cover is reinforced and restored with tape.

Album with 16 photographs by Werner Braun documenting the First Decade exhibition which was held in Binyane HaUma in Jerusalem, 1958.
The First Decade exhibition was held in Binyane HaUma in Jerusalem in May-August 1958, as part of the celebrations of the 10th anniversary of the State of Israel. This exhibition was considered one of the most important events of the year and was visited by about 600,000 people. However, it aroused much criticism, both for its organization and for its content (some claimed it was a propaganda exhibition, resembling exhibitions organized by the Soviet authorities).
The album contains sixteen photographs by Werner Braun, most are titled by hand on the album's leaves, among them: • Panoramic photographs of Binyane HaUma and the exhibition grounds (composed of three photographs). • Photograph of the opening ceremony with the participation of David Ben Gurion, Teddy Kollek and other dignitaries. • Photographs of different stands in the exhibition: Aliyah, health services, education and culture and more. • Panoramic photograph of a performance of the London Festival Ballet. • And more.
The album opens with a dedication signed by the exhibition director Yitzchak Roll "to Yitzchak Levi, a souvenir from great days of work in the First Decade exhibition, Jerusalem 5.6.58-21.8.58" [the recipient may have been Yitzchak Levi (1907-1994), commander in the Haganah and IDF and director of the government Publicity Center].
16 photographs, size varies. Average size: 13X17 cm. Album: 23X31 cm. Good condition. Minor stains. Some photographs are detached. The logo of the exhibition appears on the album's binding. Stains and worming to binding.
