Seven postcards issued by "Photo Barak" with photographs of Jerusalemite figures of different ethnic groups, by the photographer Arthur Bauer. Jerusalem, [ca. 1930s].
Seen in the photographs are Sephardi children, Yemenite Jews, a Jewish woman from Morocco, a Jewish woman from Persia, a Hasidic boy and an Ethiopian priest. The photographs are numbered, titled and hand-signed on the bottom by the photographer Arthur Bauer (English, one postcard is signed and titled in Hebrew). A printed inscription appears on the back of six postcards: "Photo – Barak, Jerusalem" the the seventh postcard is stamped on the back - "Barak" (Photo Barak studio, founded in Jerusalem in 1935 by photographer Arthur Bauer).
