Three lithographs – views in Palestine after paintings by David Roberts:
1. Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. Published by F. G. Moon, [London], 1841. (Dated in the plate 1839).
2. Jerusalem from the road leading to Bethany. Published by F.G. Moon, [London], 1841. Signed, titled and dated in the plate (1839).
3. Tiberias. Published by F.G. Moon [London], 1844. Signed, titled and dated in the plate (1839).
David Roberts (1796-1864), active in London, was among the 19th century pioneer artists who traveled to the Near East to draw its landscapes and distribute their works in Europe. Roberts drew watercolors in situ, later transforming them into lithographs available for the public.

Landscape Illustrations of the Bible, Consisting of Views of the Most Remarkable Places Mentioned in the Old and New Testaments by Thomas Hartwell Home, London: John Murray, 1836. English. Two volumes.
The volumes include 97 engraved plates altogether (including the title pages of both volumes), depicting sites mentioned in the Bible and in the New Testament. Engravings are by William Finden and Edward Francis Finden after paintings by William Turner, Augustus Wall Callcott, David Roberts, and others. The engravings depict, among other things, views and sites in Palestine (Jerusalem, Mount Tabor, Mount Carmel, Kishon River and more), Egypt, Jordan, Syria and more places. The engravings are accompanied by texts about the different sites.
Volume I: XII, [89] text pages + [50] plates; Vol. II: IV, 89 text pages + [47] plates, 23 cm. Leather gilt decorated bindings. Gilt edges. Good condition. Stains. Paper labels on the inside front bindings. Minor blemishes to corners and margins of bindings.

Journal of a Tour in the Holy Land by Lady Egerton and her husband, Lord Francis Egerton, first earl of Ellesmere, in May and June 1840. With four lithographic plates showing views of Palestine.
Francis Egerton (1800-1857), who was known for his support of the arts, was himself a writer. The lithographs that accompany the journal are based on his drawings.
In the introduction to the book, Lady Egerton states that the profits from the printing and distribution of the book will be donated to the Ladies’ Hibernian Female School Society, a women’s institution in Ireland.
[4] leaves, 141 pp. + 4 plates. 22 cm. Good condition. Stains. Front endpaper is partially detached. Small tears at the inner margin of the first leaf. Bookplate on the inside front cover. Slight damage to the binding.

A book by Henry Baker Tristram (1822-1906) about sites in Palestine and the surroundings. The book is accompanied by twelve color prints after photographs by James Graham, Francis Frith and other photographers. Among the prints: Sidon, Pool of Siloam, Jordan River, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and more.
One of the prints shows Jaffa with a view to the north in the direction of the future site of Tel-Aviv. The photograph after which this print was created is one of the earliest photographs portraying this area, prior to the establishment of Tel-Aviv.
[2] leaves, 49, [1] pp, [12] plates. 17.5 cm. Gilt edges. Good-fair condition. Some stains. First three leaves are detached. Several loose leaves. Creases, folds and some tears to tissue guards. Handwritten dedication on front endpaper. Minor blemishes to spine and to corners of binding.

Jerusalem: The Holy City, by Charles Warren. London: J. S. Virtue and Co., 1889. English.
A book by Charles Wilson that gives an overview of the city of Jerusalem in words and images. It contains engravings that depict Jerusalem and its environs: view of Jerusalem from Mount Scopus, view of Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, al-Eizariya (Bethany), and a view of the Mount of Olives from Mount Zion. The book also contains dozens of illustrations depicting gates, monasteries, and churches, people, attires, and markets in the Jerusalem region. Explanations and descriptions appear alongside the illustrations.
Captain Charles Wilson, who arrived in Jerusalem in 1864 at the head of an engineering team, served for decades as a military engineer, land surveyor, and archaeologist in the service of the British government and army. He published several books and albums about Palestine over the years.
XXII, 120 pp. + [4] plates (with tissue guards) and [1] map, 35.5 cm. Gilt edges. Overall good condition. Stains (mostly light). Minor blemishes. A tear at the joint between the front endpaper and binding. One engraving is partially detached. Loose pages; the binding is slightly damaged, mainly on the spine and at the edges.

Composite photograph mounted on cardboard, combining portraits of the editors, publishers, managers, and writers of HaShiloah journal from Volume 1 to Volume 25. Odessa: HaShiloah, [1912?].
This composite photograph is comprised of rows upon rows of small portraits of the writers of HaShiloah. Among those photographed: The editors, Asher Ginsberg (Ahad Ha’am), Joseph Klausner, and Haim Nahman Bialik, the publisher Menahem Ussishkin, and the manager Haim Katznelson, as well as many of the important Jewish writers of the early twentieth century: Yosef Haim Brenner, Shaul Tchernichovsky, Max Nordau, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, and others.
The publisher’s name appears in the lower right-hand corner, and the caption "Photographia ‘Vereshchagin,’ Odessa…" appears in the lower left-hand corner.
35.5X29 cm. Good-fair condition. Damage, tears, and open tears (mostly minor) at the edges of the photographs. Stains, damage, and peelings on the cardboard.

Among the photographs: • Two group photographs, titled in the plate: "Moshevet Kfirim Homoty 1926" and "Moshevet HaMenahalim be'Homoty'" (presumably these are photographs of "HaShomer Hatza'ir" group in Homoty, Poland). • Group photographs of youth movement members exercising acrobatics, and photographs of bicycle rides, a youth orchestra and more. • A group photograph of youth from Siemiatycze, titled in the plate: "Va'ad shel Sifriyat 'Tarbut' Siemiatycze 1927". • Photograph portraying a group of girls, titled in the plate: "kvutzat Kfirot 'Laor'…1929". • Photographs of "HaShomer Hatza'ir" exhibition, titled on the back in handwriting: "HaTa'arucha HaShomrit HaRishona. Warsaw, Hanukkah, 1924".
Enclosed: • Postcard with a letter in Yiddish to J. Syr (this collection of photographs belonged, most probably, to a member of the Syr family from Siemiatycze. On some of the photographs appear handwritten dedications to family members). • Group photograph from the first convention of newcomers from Siemiatycze in Tel-Aviv, 1934 (titled in the plate).
Most photographs are divided on the back for use as a postcard.

Seventeen photographs in an album (mounted in the album), depicting the members of Betar at a national convention in Poland. The photographs depict military parades, tent camps, and the field kitchen, among other things. On the front cover appears a gilt title with Stars of David, and on the first leaf appears a handwritten dedication to "Mr. Blilovsky" dated October 27, 1930, Warsaw.

The photograph, which depicts Rabbi Kook speaking with Churchill, was evidently taken in 1921 during Churchill’s visit to Palestine during his term as Secretary of State for the Colonies. During the visit, Churchill stayed in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and other locations, and met with many public figures.

Hundert deutsche Fliegerbilder aus Palästina [One Hundred Aerial Photographs of Palestine], edited by Gustaf Dalman, "Schriften des Deutschen Palästina-Instituts; 2. Band" (a series of writings of German Evangelical Institute for Research of Ruins in the Holy Land in Jerusalem, volume 2). A paper sticker bearing the name of the publisher, "Der Rufer," was placed over the printer’s information on the title page. Gütersloh, Germany, 1925. German.
A work containing reproductions of one hundred aerial photographs of Paletsine that were taken by the German army during World War I (acquired from an archive in Bavaria), with an introduction and detailed explanations by the scholar Gustaf Dalman, the first director of the German Evangelical Institute for Research of Ruins in the Holy Land in Jerusalem. A folded plate appears at the end of the book – a map of Palestine. The book includes a bookmark with a transparency upon it.
158 pp. + [1] folded map, 32 cm. Good condition. Several pages are loose. Stains, mainly upon the map. A handwritten inscription on one of the front endpapers.

Two volumes containing high-quality photographs of the city of Jaffa and its environs, by Frank (Francois) Scholten (1881–1942), including photographs of local inhabitants, craftsmen and visitors, members of all the ethnic and religious groups (Albert Einstein appears in one photograph), landscapes, fruits and vegetation, and more.
The first volume is titled "La Porte D'Entrée Jaffa" [Entry gate to Jaffa] and compiles 449 photographs. The second volume is titled "Jaffa La Belle" [Beautiful Jaffa] and compiles 371 photographs. A relevant verse from the Bible, the Talmud, or the Koran is printed beside each photograph. An additional photograph is pasted on each of the front covers. Edition of 1000 copies (the volumes presented here are not numbered).
Volume I: XXII, 203, XXVI-XXXVI , [1] pp + [202] plates. Volume II: [4], XIV, 169, XV-XXIII, [1] pp + [168] plates. Approx. 27 cm. Good condition. Stains.
