Selection of the writings of Josephus Flavius, translated into German. Illustrated with twelve engraved plates (some of them folded): a map of Palestine, a map of Jerusalem, the vessels of the Tabernacle, Roman coins, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, and more.
[5], 3-28, 20, 736, 212, 178, 12, 34 pp. (mispagination in several places) + [8] large engraved plates (two of them folded) and [4] small engraved plates; approx. 35.5 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains. Minor blemishes. Worming to first and last leaves. Tears along the edges of several leaves (one restored). Long tears to one of the engraved plates. Leather-covered binding, with blemishes, tears and wear. Partly detached.
