Lengthy letter (2 pages) handwritten and signed by Rebbe Shraga Feivish Rubin. [Yavorov, Tammuz] 1939. Hebrew and Yiddish.
Lengthy letter on personal and familial matters, addressed to his brother and mechutan R. Yitzchak of Yavorov (in the United States). With blessings: "May G-d send cures, salvations, success and livelihood, to inform of good tidings…".
Rebbe Shraga Feivish Rubin (ca. 1880-1943, perished in the Holocaust), prominent Galician rebbe.
His brother, R. Yitzchak Rubin of Yavorov (1884-1970), immigrated to the United States in 1929, yet sent all his children back to Galicia due to the poor spiritual situation in the US. All his descendants perished in the Holocaust. Immigrated to Israel in 1957, and as elder Chassid of Belz, he gave the first kvittel to the current Belzer rebbe.
