Letter handwritten and signed by Rebbe Mordechai Rokeach, rabbi of Bilgoraj. [Tel Aviv], Shevat 1947.
In his letter, addressed to R. Asher Zelig Margolies, the rebbe requests a loan for the purpose of buying an apartment, in the name of his brother, Rebbe Aharon of Belz.
Rebbe Mordechai Rokeach (1901-1949), rabbi of Bilgoraj, son of Rebbe Yissachar Dov of Belz. He escaped Europe during the Holocaust together with his brother, Rebbe Aharon of Belz, eventually reaching Eretz Israel where he assisted his brother in rebuilding the Belz Chassidut. Father of the current Belzer Rebbe.
