Tractate Shekalim of the Jerusalemite Talmud, with commentaries by the Vilna Ga'on "Mishnat Eliyahu" and commentary "Taklin Chadatin" by his disciple Rabbi Yisrael of Shklov. Minsk, [1812]. First edition. The Jerusalemite was printed according the Vilna Ga'on's version with his glosses, on the margins "old versions" have been printed (wherever they differ from the Vilna Ga'on's one) and the "Mishnah tradition".
Approbations by disciples of the Vilna Ga'on Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin and Rabbi Mendel of Shklov. [the book opens with: foreword by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin on the Vilna Ga'on commentaries, response by Akiva Eiger and counter-response by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin. On last page is an additional response by Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin].

The writer, Rabbi Yisrael of Shklov, head of the Vilna Ga'on disciples' aliya to Eretz Yisrael, lived already in Safed when the book was printed, and his name appears on the title page and amongst the approbations as "one who formerly lived in Shklov and now resides in the Upper Galilee".
Important material concerning the Vilna Ga'on and his disciples is included in author's introduction. Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin is mentioned with much admiration. The writings in the introductions are known to be a source of information regarding the Vilna Ga'on and his disciples.
