Stories of the Old and New Testaments, in addition to short hymns. The book contains roughly 200 beautiful illustrations (in-text woodcuts) by Christoffel van Sichem (1581-1658). These are illustrations of various tales from the Books of Genesis, Esther, Job, and other biblical texts. 538, 537-700, [1] pp. (mispagination). 16 cm. Good condition. Stains, including dampstains. Tears to edges of few leaves, some open, with minor damage to text. Notations in ink (old) on endpapers and in margins of numerous leaves. Small worming holes to some leaves. Leather-covered binding, worn, with abrasions. Tears to spine. Front board loose. Inner boards and flyleaves reinforced with strips of adhesive tape.
