Sefer Be'er Rehovot, commentary on Rashi's grammatical commentaries on the Torah. Sulzbach, 1730. First edition.
This book was published a second time in Fֳ¼rth, 1762 [after the author, Isaac Auerbach died in 1748]. Second edition printed leaf for leaf according to the first edition except for ornamental changes and with the addition of 15 pages of appendices and further commentary on the megillot.
This is the first edition of the book, with the addition of a full 30-page booklet in flowing Ashkenazi handwriting containing appendices and commentary on the megillot. The order of the appendices differs from the printed version, indicating that it was definitely not copied from the printed version, but was written in the period of time between the editions, i.e. between 1730-1762 and possibly this is the author's own handwriting.
Fifty-nine leaves. With the addition of the handwritten booklet 16 leaves [30 written pages]. 18.5 cm. Good-fair condition, minor water stains and a few moth holes to last leaves. Manuscript in very good condition. Old worn cardboard binding.
Attached: Photocopies of second edition (Fֳ¼rth 1792) for comparison with manuscript.

Autographic writing by the rabbi who delivered the sermons, who apparently was the town's rabbi [most communities had sermons during Shabbat Hagadol and Shabbat Shuva; the town's rabbi had to deliver those sermons, not the "Maggid Meisharim"], the author mentions various details from the town's daily life. He also mentions the name of the town twice but we were unable to properly decipher it.
