Synagogue chandelier, [Galicia, 19th cent.].
Brass.
A massive synagogue chandelier. A crowned eagle on top. Six stylized flowers stem from the central arm under which is a perforated disc with six candle holders. A stylized animal looking backwards is attached to each of the candle holders. The decoration is in a Polish style similar to papercuts. The chandelier ends with a blown up ball. The candle holders were wired (the electric wires were later removed).
Length: 67 cm. Good condition, several soldering marks, missing chains (upper chain is not original).

Hanging Shabbat lamp. [Germany, end of 19th century or early 20th century].
Cast brass.
The lamp has six star-shaped oil containers (wired) and a hanging bowl for draining the oil. Attaches to the lamp, a long rack shaped like a sharp saw [for shortening or lengthening], upon which the lamp hung.
The star arrangement of cornets in the center of the lamp was known by the name of "The Jewish Star" ("Judeshtern"). This type was used by Jews and non-Jews alike; the Jews continued using the lamps also when they were not in fashion anymore, and thus the name.
Maximum height (with hanging rack): 80 cm.

The body of the Lamp is a serrated circle which is attaches to three chains. The circular frame is inscribed with two inscriptions: "Dedicated to God on behalf of the elevation of the soul of Esther daughter of Rivka, died on 18th of Nissan, 1938. May she rest in peace" "This is made by my son dedicated for the memory… for his and the members of his family's success".
Length, including chains: 54 cm, diameter of the frame: 15.5 cm. The glass vessel is missing.

This decorative lamp was hung in a synagogue with a glass vessel for oil (now missing). The lamp has four silver chains made of small connected plaques. The lamp is decorated with stylized flowers with blue petals. Under the lip of the lamp is a dedication inscription: "For the rest of the worthless Tamar Margo Kinzi may she rest in peace, 1938.
Length (including chains): 64 cm.

At the top of this lamp is a hook attached to a “Hamsa” with an inscription in bold letters: "Ben Porat Yoseph". A half circle decoration attaches to the “Hamsa” with hooks for hanging three pendants (two are missing). The existing pendant is inscribed: "Shadai" and "Tzmarchad" – Kabalistic names for God. Three chains attach to the main circular dish. The center of the lamp is inscribed with a dedication: "To the ascent of the soul of the honored woman Clemantin Mizrachi, daughter of Katon dedicated to God, given to the Or Torah community". An additional inscription was added with the date of the death. Around the inscription: two Stars of David and a signature of "Chaim Cohen Tzaban" were added. The bottom of the lamp has a “Hamsa” with the inscriptions: "Shadai" and "Tzmarchad".

This monumental chair is made in a folkloristic craftsmanship fashion, in a neo-Baroque style with wood openwork in dense vegetal designs. In the chair's center appears the inscription "Zeh Hakiseh shel Eliyahu HaNavih" [This is Elijah's Chair]; carved birds on both sides of the inscription. A Star of David in a vegetal frame appears on the top of the chair. Two bending lions are craved on both arm rests. Legs are curved. Red velvet upholstery on arm rests and seat.
Height: 2 meters, max. width: 72 cm, depth: 74 cm. Several cracks to wood, paint flaking, loose parts and some repairs with glue.
