Some of the "scraps" and cards depict children at play and others portray scenes from Jewish life and Zionist themes. Most "scraps" and cards in this collection bear "Shanah Tovah" greetings.
Three of the "scraps", of which two depict a synagogue scene and one a panoramic view of Tel-Aviv, are large.
Total of 18 "scraps". Size and condition vary. Good-fair overall condition. Tears and missing pieces to most of the large and medium sized cards.

1. "Shanah Tovah" postcard, with illustrations and a greeting printed in silver ink, from Mr. Abe Emanuel and his wife. Printed in New Zealand and sent from there in September 1904. Undivided. 9X14 cm. Good condition.
2. Printed "Shanah Tovah" greeting card, with a "Shanah Tovah" greeting in Hebrew and German. [New-York, early 20th century]. A dedication on the back from 1904. 9.5X5.5 cm. Good condition. Enclosed is the original envelope in which the card was sent.

Two Real-Photo "Shanah Tovah" Postcards. Palestine, 1930s-40s.
1. Postcard with the photograph of the sender and photographs of Bnei Brak. The text on the postcard: " 5698 [1937], greetings for a good year, a year of free immigration to our country and of building our national home" (Hebrew).
13.5X8 cm. Good condition. Not used. Ink-stamp on the back of the postcard.
2. Postcard with photographs of IDF soldiers and the text "Greetings for the New Year from the State of Israel". On the back of the postcard appears a handwritten greeting.

A folded card with a printed drawing of a prisoner shaking off his chains facing the rising day, the verse "liberty to the captives …" (Isaiah 61) and a quotation by Shlomo Skolsky.
Inside the folded card appears a greeting written by hand by one of the detainees in the camp: "… for the new year, a year of liberty and release… 1947" (Hebrew).
Open card: 10X15.5 cm, good condition. Small defects to corners of card.
