Sefer Zevach Shmuel - Drishat HaZe'ev, laws of slaughtering by Rabbi Shmuel of Lissa, with glosses Drishat HaZe'ev, by grandson of author, Rabbi Shmuel Ze'ev, examiner, slaughterer and chief purger in Lissa. Dihrenfurt, 1822.
Several lengthy and erudite handwritten glosses from printing period, containing sharp critique on the author's book. Various signatures and notations, ownership notations stating that the book belongs to "the sharp and knowledgeable righteous genius, the famousג€¦ Rabbi Yissachar son ofג€¦ Yehudah Leib of Kalish, chief Av Beit Din of Plock and the Galilee". Contains his signature: "Yissachar son of Rabbi Yehudah Leib of Kalish". Signature of his son: "Michael Dov son of the late Ga'on Rabbi Yissacharג€¦".
Rabbi Yissachar Weingot Av Beit Din of Czestochowa (1789-1852), among the greatest rabbis of Poland in his generation, visited the Maggid of Kuznitz at the age of 12 and after discussing with him a sophisticated Sugiya, advised his father to send him to study with Rabbi Chaim Auerbach (author of Divrei Mishpat). Served in the rabbinate in the cities: Sompolno, Plonsk, Kowal, Strikov and Czestochowa. Author of Pitchei She'arim and Sha'ar HaLakotot. Many of his descendants served as rabbis in Poland. His son, Rabbi Michael Dov author of Agudat Ezov Midbari (1819-1887) served as Av Beit Din of Piotrkow.
