Two filigree silver amulet cases. Syria, [late 19th or early 20th century].
Silver, parcel gilt, filigree and granulation; glass beads and other beads.
1. Hollow rectangular case. On front, branch-like decorations in delicate gilt filigree and granulation, forming a heart shape. Small droplet-like silver pendants. Two silver coins suspended at end of chain. 40X7 cm. No cover.
2. Long chain with large pendants decorated in silver thread. Three cylindrical amulet cases (two of them small, middle one large), and additional triangular ornament. Small round pendants, also made from silver thread, suspended from chain and from amulet cases. 60X9 cm.
