Toldot Adam, biography of R. Zalman (R. Zelmele) of Volozhin, brother of R. Chaim of Volozhin and disciple of the Gaon of Vilna, by R. Yechezkel Feivel, maggid of Vilna. Two parts bound together. Dyhernfurth, 1801-1809. First edition.
A special leaf was bound at the beginning of the book, with a printed dedication from the author to his son R. Moshe.
Ownership inscription in Sephardic script on the first title page: "I acquired this in exchange for the book Naggid UMetzaveh, Nissim Binyamin Pontremoli, known as Rabbenu". Signature on the leaf preceding the title page: "Yaakov son of Abayei", and another inscription (identical to the one on the title page, apart from the name, which is written here as "Nissim Yitzchak Pontremoli"). An inscription on the same leaf in Ladino, mentioning "R. Chaim son of Moda'i". Other inscriptions in Sephardic script on the front endpapers, including a financial report in Ladino.
