Three Hanukkah lamps. Morocco, [20th century].
Three Hanukkah lamps, products of folk art, made from sheet metal. In all three, servant light located in upper third of back plate. All have row of oil fonts consisting of four square pans, each for two wicks (i.e., two lights per pan). In Lamp no. 1, oil fonts attached with rivets, in no. 2 soldered, and in no. 3 suspended from hooks inserted into slots made for purpose.
1. Sheet aluminum, cut and shaped; rivets. Cut ornaments, all riveted to surmount back plate: Star of David (above apex), and symmetrical pair of birds (please refer to Hanukkah lamp of similar design, item no. 9.) Suspension hole.
2. Sheet tin, cut and shaped. Back plate in form of trimmed arch, surmounted by fan-shaped ornament with suspension hole. Right quarter of back plate made from separate piece of sheet metal.

3. Tin sheet, cut, shaped, and pressed. Back plate in shape of circle.
Size and condition vary. Overall good condition. Warping and rust.
