10 postcards printed in Hungary / Transylvania and their surroundings, with photographs of buildings in villages and small towns, including places of business bearing the names of their Jewish owners. Several of the postcards were issued by the owners of the places of business. [Hungary, Serbia, Romania, ca. 1917 to ca. 1930].
The postcards depict a shop near the market in Albertirsa; a street in the town of Szarvas, with Jewish places of business (Gross, Stern, Steiner and more); the department store of Roth Salamon in the town of Mezőkovácsháza ?; the department store of Gertmann Salamon in the village of Bakonyszentiván ; the department store of Goldsman in the village of Csantaver (today in Serbia); the store of Friedmann Samuel in the town of Olthévíz (Hoghiz), Braşov County; the department store of Friedman in Miskolc (?); the store of Izrael Pál in Dicsőszentmárton (Târnăveni), Transylvania; and a main street in Szolnok, with the place of business of the Schwartz Brothers (two postcards).
Good overall condition. The postcards were sent by mail. The postage stamps were removed from some of them. Some stains and minor blemishes to corners.
