Important ownership – this copy was passed down through the families of the rebbes of the Sighet and Sassov dynasty.
Signatures and ownership inscriptions: signature (blurred) of R. Moshe David Ashkenazi (rabbi of Tolcsva and Safed), signature of his son, R. Yoel Ashkenazi (rabbi of Zlotchov), ownership inscriptions attesting that the book belonged to Rebbe Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum Rabbi of Sighet (the Yitav Lev) and to Rebbe Chanoch Heinich Mayer of Sassov (son-in-law of the Kedushat Yom Tov of Sighet), and other inscriptions.
R. Moshe David Ashkenazi (1774-1856), father-in-law of the Yitav Lev of Sighet. Rabbi of Tolcsva and later of Safed, where he rebuilt the Chassidic settlement after the earthquake.
His son, R. Yoel Ashkenazi Rabbi of Zlotchov (1810-1881), leading rabbi and Torah disseminator in Galicia, grandfather of Rebbe Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar.
Rebbe Yekutiel Yehuda Teitelbaum, the Yitav Lev (1808-1883), son-in-law of R. Moshe David Ashkenazi, close disciple of his grandfather the Yismach Moshe. Served as rabbi of Ujhel and later, Sighet.
Rebbe Chanoch Heinich Dov Mayer-Teitelbaum (1884-1942), rabbi of Sassov, leading rebbe in his generation. Son-in-law of the Kedushat Yom Tov of Sighet.
