Illustrated Passover Haggadah, in Hebrew and "Lashon Ashkenazim", with the Tzeli Esh commentary. Venice: Vendramin, [1740].
Title page printed in red and black.
Each page of text enclosed in a fine decorative border. Many woodcut illustrations.
This Haggadah was simultaneously printed in three editions, one with a Judeo-Italian translation, one with Ladino translation, and the third (the present edition), described on the title page as being in "Hebrew and Lashon Ashkenazim". The latter edition also comprises a Judeo-Italian (and not Yiddish) translation, though unlike the Judeo-Italian edition, the text of Birkat HaMazon here follows Ashkenazi rite.
[26] leaves. 31.5 cm. Fair-good condition. Stains, including dark stains. Tears, including open tears to title page and other leaves, affecting text, borders and illustrations, repaired with paper (affected borders completed by hand in some places). Leaves trimmed with damage to decorative borders in some places. Old card binding, worn.
Yaari 116; Otzar HaHaggadot 188.
