Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom Eliyahu son of Moshe son of Muchlof Tziroya with the bride Reina daughter of Eliyahu son of Moshe ebn Oliel. Gibraltar, Iyar 1886. Framed with a bouquet of flowers and sheaves tied with a ribbon, capped with a large gilt-adorned Torah crown. The text of the ketubah is written in attractive semi-cursive Sephardi script, with words stressed with colored ink. In the center, the word “Chai” is enlarged. A monogram of the initials of the names of the bride and groom appears at the bottom of the ketubah. Among the signatures: “HaZvi David Aflalo” (Gibraltar sage). 48X67 cm. Fair-poor condition. Many creases. Dampness, with ink smears. Folding marks. Mounted on a plastic board.
