Ketubah recording the marriage of the groom Menachem son of Ya’akov of the progeny of Rabbi Ya’akov Ibn Denan with the bride Faba daughter of Moshe “called Matana”. Gibraltar, Nissan 1881. Framed with a bouquet of flowers tied with a ribbon, capped by a large gilt-adorned Torah crown. The text of the ketubah is in nice-looking semi-cursive Sephardi writing, with words stressed with colored ink. The word “Chai” enlarged, appears in the center of the words of the ketubah. A monogram of the initials of the names of the bride and groom appears at the bottom of the ketubah. Among the signatures: “HaZvi David Aflalo” (a Gibraltar sage). 58X67 cm. Good condition. Creases. Two crevices at the top. Framed (not examined out of frame).
