"Mizrah" - amulet. [Toronto, Canada, 1920s-1930s].
Printed on thick paper.
Amulet with incantations, holy names and letter combinations, Parshat HaKetoret (Incense Torah portion) and prayer sections. Printed on the bottom is a hand shape with letter combinations and names, surmounting the inscription: "This segula protection was given by the early mekubalim and has been published lately with the additions of the Holy Magid of Turiysk in Russia, who commanded his Chassidim to hang it in a clean place".Printed on the reverse is a text in Yiddish regarding the importance of purchasing this "segula protection", by Rabbi Yudel Rosenberg of Toronto, Canada [author of Nifla'ot Maharal].
44X29.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains and creases. Tears. One tear is reinforced with adhesive tape to leaf reverse. Hole for hanging on top part. Inserted in passe-partout.
