"Mizrah" and "Shiviti" [East Europe], 1865.

On upper part - an arch with the inscription "Da Lifnei mi Ata Omed…". On the left and on the right are two columns, inscribed: "Baruch SheNatan Torah…" and "Baruch Ata Bvo'acha…". The inscription "Shiviti Hashem Lenegdi…" appears in the center within a decoration shaped as a crown with Tablets of the Law below it (with Ten Commandments), integrated into an illustration of a tree consisting of decorations shaped as leaves and of Psalm verses. In the center appears the inscription "Mizrah". By the tree, on left and right sides of the trunk, illustrations of two small heaps with hand-palms, and the names of the groom and bride and the wedding date: "Nathan ben Yehuda Shuars (?) and Yent bat Hirsch Green, wedding was on Lag Ba'omer 5626 (1856)".
Approx. 23X21 cm. Fair condition. Stains and tears, mainly at margins. Framed in an original wooden frame, damaged.
