Rebbe Asher Tzvi of Ostroh (ca. 1740-1817), a leading disciple of the Maggid of Mezeritch, a holy person and pious kabbalist. Served as a maggid in Ostroh and was known as one of the foremost rebbes of his times. Rebbe and rabbi in Korets from 1804.

Large open tears to title page and other leaves, with significant damage to text (lower part of title page mostly lacking), repaired with paper (with photocopy and handwritten replacement of missing text). Worming. Inscriptions and stamps, including many stamps of the Chaburat Shas synagogue in Berditchev. New leather binding.
