Letter from the Steipler, sent to Rabbi Yaakov Landau rabbi of Bnei Brak, and two copies of halachic letters, one from the Shefa Chaim of Sanz-Klausenburg and the other from R. Yaakov Landau, regarding the halachic case of a Petzua Daka (a topic which R. Landau studied at length, with extensive consultation).
1. Letter handwritten and signed by R. Yaakov Yisrael Kanievsky, the Steipler, to R. Yaakov Landau. [Bnei Brak, Elul 1964/1965?].
The Steipler writes that he is inclined to view the matter leniently, stating this is not a case of Petzua Daka, yet at the end of the letter he humbly refrains from issuing a ruling. The Steipler concludes the letter with blessings for a good year: "May he be written and sealed for a good life in the book of the completely righteous".
This letter was presumably never published.
