Letter from Rabbi Shema'aya to Rabbi Yossef Adler Av-Beit-Din of Torda. [c. 1930].
The letter was sent to Rabbi Yossef Adler and its contents concerns matters of slaughter and obtaining Glat-Kosher meat.
Rabbi Shema'aya [Lev] Lew, of the Eastern Hungarian rabbis (Sieben-Bergen) Av-Beit-Din of Sekeli-Krastor (Province of Odovahay), murdered in the holocaust in 1944. His writings "Bnei Shema'aya" three parts (book of responsum on the Torah and homiletics) were printed in New York, 1960.
