Hanukkah lamp. Sefrou, Morocco, [19th century or earlier].
Brass, cast, chased.
Architectural back plate, arched, openwork. Underneath apex, where servant light belongs, floral element surmounted by horseshoe-arched gate. Two pairs of birds project toward apex. Pair of vase-like columns project upward from lower portion of back plate, on either side. Lower portion of back plate decorated with two rows of tapering arches, alternating with row of trapezoidal shapes between them, and row of half-moon shapes above them. Suspension ring with trifoliate clover-like ornament.
Height: 41 cm. Width: 25.5 cm. Good condition. No servant light.
