With Kuntres HaSefekot by the brother of the author, R. Yehuda HaKohen (author of Terumat HaKeri), at the end of vol. I.
Ketzot HaChoshen is a classic work of scholarly Torah study, and for over two hundred years, has been considered the key guide for yeshiva in-depth Torah study throughout the world.
Signatures and inscriptions on the title pages. Lengthy scholarly glosses in Ashkenazic script by an unidentified writer on several leaves (primarily in vol. II), partly trimmed and faded.
Two volumes. Part I: [2], 129; 15 leaves. Part II: [2], 64, 67-111 leaves. Lacking [3] final leaves with indexes. 33.5-34.5 cm. Vol. I in good-fair condition. Vol. II in fair condition. Stains. Significant dampstains and traces of past dampness in vol. II. Wear. Creases to title page of vol. I. Marginal tears to title page, final leaf and several other leaves of vol. I (affecting text on final leaf), repaired with paper. Large open tears to title page and other leaves of vol. II, with extensive damage to text, mostly repaired with paper. Worming, slightly affecting text. Old bindings.
