Lengthy letter, halachic responsum on the laws of inheritance, collaterals and the sale of land; handwritten and signed by R. Yaakov Abuchatzeira, the Abir Yaakov of Morocco.
Neat script. Calligraphic signature at the end of the responsum: "Yaakov Abuchatzeira".
The present responsum was never published, however Responsa Yoru Mishpatecha LeYaakov (section 136) contains a parallel responsum by R. Yaakov Abuchatzeira, with many textual variations, where he reaches similar conclusions.
R. Yaakov Abuchatzeira – the Abir Yaakov (1806-1880), rabbi of Tafilalt, outstanding Torah scholar and kabbalist, leading halachic authority in his generation. Renowned as a wonder-worker. His sons and grandsons – Baba Sali, Baba Chaki, Baba Meir, and many others – were prominent rabbis and wonder-workers.
