Collection of booklets, dictionaries, documents and photographs, from the estate of the engineer Pinchas Lachovitzky, one of the pioneers of Esperanto in Israel, a delegate of the World Esperanto Association and the director of the association's branch in Jerusalem. 1920s to 1940s, Hebrew, Esperanto, Arabic and other languages.
The collection contains: * Esperanto-Hebrew dictionary by P. Lachovitzky, handwritten by him, 1933. * Esperanto-Hebrew dictionary by E.Z. Melamed, Jerusalem, 1927. * Four photographs from conferences of the Esperanto Association, in Jerusalem, Tel-Aviv and California. * Four broadsides and leaflets announcing the activities of the association in Jerusalem. * Stationery of "'Shalom VeAchvah' Association of Jerusalemite Esperanto speakers". * Publications of the Egyptian Esperanto Association in Cairo. * Approx. 15 letters and publications of the International Esperanto League in England, which were sent to Lachovitzky. * Additional items.
