Shulchan Aruch HaRav, parts III-IV, by Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi – the Baal HaTanya. [Sudylkiv, 1826]. Two parts in two volumes. The only edition with the approbation of R. Mordechai of Chernobyl.
The two volumes of this edition were printed almost leaf by leaf, line by line, after the first edition.
The first edition was printed in 1814-1816 in Shklow and Kopust (Belarus). Ten years passed before this second edition was printed in Sudylkiv, Ukraine. R. Mordechai of Chernobyl, in his enthusiastic approbation, writes of the great demand for this edition among the Chassidim in Ukraine.
The title page of part IV bears the stamp of: "Aharon Moshe MiGeza Zvi of Brody" (1775-1845), disciple of the Chozeh of Lublin and of R. Uri of Strelisk, one of the first Chassidim to immigrate to Jerusalem.
Two volumes. Part III (Orach Chaim, Hilchot Eruvin): [4], 180, 185-192, 189-193, 196-233, 236-52, 213-220, 261-268 leaves. Lacking 4 leaves: 194-195, 234-235. Part IV (Orach Chaim, Hilchot Pesach and Kuntres Acharon): [2], 29, 33-249 leaves. 18-18.5 cm. Overall fair-good condition. Stains. Dampstains and traces of past dampness. Open tears, affecting text, some tears repaired with paper. Large open tears to title page of Part IV, affecting title page border and text on both sides of title page, repaired with paper (with replacements of text and title page border). The outer margins of two leaves of Part IV were trimmed close to text, with loss of text. Worming, slightly affecting text. Stamps and handwritten inscriptions. New bindings.

Manuscript ("bichel"), written by various copyists – copyings of Chassidic discourses delivered and recorded by rebbes of Chabad: Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi – the Baal HaTanya; Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneersohn – the Tzemach Tzedek; Rebbe Shmuel Schneersohn – the Maharash; Rebbe Chaim Shneur Zalman Schneersohn of Liadi; and Rebbe Shlomo Zalman Schneersohn – the Magen Avot of Kopust. [Russia, ca. 1870s-1890s].
Many of the discourses in this "bichel" are from the Tzemach Tzedek, and were later published in Derech Mitzvotecha. Others are from Rebbe Shlomo Zalman Schneersohn of Kopust (1830-1900), the Magen Avot, recorded by one of his listeners. To the best of our knowledge, some of these discourses were not published in the seven parts of Magen Avot, and some were published there in different wording.
Some of the discourses are incomplete (lacking leaves).

Letter by Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson, the Rebbe Rayatz of Lubavitch, signed. Brooklyn, NY, 3rd Tevet 1949. Yiddish.
Typewritten on the official stationery of the Rebbe Rayatz, with his full signature: "Yosef Yitzchak Schneerson", and with a number of words added in his handwriting.
Sent to the public activist and philanthropist Elchanan Glazer, regarding the special convention convened by the Joint and chaired by Mr. Glazer, concerning the situation of the refugees in Europe. The Rayatz sent his representative, R. Binyamin Gorodetsky to the convention to report on the situation of the Jewish refugees in Europe after the Holocaust.
Mr. Glazer assisted the Rebbe Rayatz in a number of his activities. He helped the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva in Shanghai during WWII and contributed generously to various Chabad causes and institutions, earning the gratitude and love of the Rebbe Rayatz.
This letter was not printed in Igrot Kodesh of the Rayatz.

Urim VeTumim, on Shulchan Aruch Choshen Mishpat, Parts I and II, by R. Yehonatan Eybeschutz. Karlsruhe, [1775-1777]. First edition. Two parts in one volume.
R. Yehonatan Eybeschutz arranged his works on Shulchan Aruch, yet due to lack of funding, he only published the first part of Kreiti UPleiti on Yoreh De'ah, in 1764. His grandson, R. Yisrael Eybeschutz published the rest of his works, including the present book. R. Yehonatan Eybeschutz mentions this work in his preface to Kreiti UPleiti.

Copy of R. Gershon Tanchum of Minsk, author of Ilana D'Chayei. Ownership inscriptions attesting that the book belonged to R. Gershon Tanchum posek in Minsk. Three scholarly glosses in his handwriting and with his signatures in section 66 (p. 47b), in which he refers to responsa in his manuscript work Etz HaDaat on Yoreh Deah (never printed), and to two responsa he wrote in the month of Tishrei 1871.
R. Gerson Tanchum Pozniak (1802-1881), a leading Torah scholar in his times. He served as posek and yeshiva dean in Minsk and was considered the supreme rabbinic authority in the city. His works on Orach Chaim were printed in the three-part book Ilana D'Chayei (Halberstadt, 1860 – Vilna, 1865). However, his work Etz HaDaat on Yoreh Deah and the rest of his responsa (mentioned in the glosses in the present book) are still in manuscript form.
