Leaf (written on both sides) with a transcript from the book Sefer HaChezyonot by R. Chaim Vital, handwritten by R. Natan of Breslov. The following heading appears at the top of both pages: "Sefer HaChazon – Part II" (this was how R. Natan referred to Sefer HaChezyonot).
Sefer HaChezyonot is the personal diary of R. Chaim Vital (Maharchu) – prominent disciple of the Arizal, in which he records his dreams and visions. In this leaf, R. Chaim Vital recounts revelations he had of the souls of Benayahu ben Yehoyada and Rav Yiba Saba.
R. Natan Sternhartz of Nemirov (Nemyriv) – Moharnat of Breslov (1780-1844), close disciple and disseminator of the teachings of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, and his successor as leader of Breslov Chassidism. The personification of a disciple, R. Natan revealed and disseminated the teachings of R. Nachman throughout the world. He arranged and published his teacher's works (including: Likutei Moharan, Sefer HaMidot, Sipurei Maasiot, and others). Reputedly, R. Nachman once declared that if not for R. Natan, not even one leaf of his writings would have survived. R. Natan's own compositions elucidate and explain the teachings of R. Nachman.

Likutei Torah (in four volumes) and Torah Or (in two volumes) – Chassidic essays on the Torah portions, by the Baal HaTanya.
• Likutei Torah, four parts, Chassidic essays on the Books Vayikra-Devarim, on the festivals and Shir HaShirim, by Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi – the Baal HaTanya. Zhitomir: R. Chanina Lipa, R. Aryeh Leib and R. Yehoshua Heshel Shapira, grandsons of the rabbi of Slavita, 1848. First edition.
Four parts in four volumes. Title pages of Vayikra and Devarim printed in red and black.
Likutei Torah is considered one of the most important and fundamental books in Chabad Chassidic thought. It contains essays on the books of Vayikra-Devarim, while the essays on the books of Bereshit and Shemot were published in Torah Or (Kopust 1837).
The book contains homilies which the Baal HaTanya delivered to the public on Shabbat and festivals, as well as commentaries which he gave over to his sons and select disciples during the course of the week, to clarify what he had said in the Shabbat sermon. The homilies mostly deal with the Chassidic approach to worship of G-d, while the commentaries explain and simplify kabbalistic concepts, based on Chassidic teachings.
• Torah Or, Chassidic essays on Bereshit and Shemot, Chanukah and Purim, including Hosafot L'Sefer Torah Or (Supplements to Torah Or), by Rebbe Shneur Zalman of Liadi – the Baal HaTanya. Zhitomir: R. Chanina Lipa and R. Yehoshua Heshel Shapira, grandsons of the Rabbi of Slavita, 1862. First edition of the supplements. Two volumes.
The supplements include 15 new essays by the Baal HaTanya. While most of the book follows the writings of the author's brother, R. Yehuda Leib of Janowiec, the essays printed in the supplements were written by the author's son, the Mitteler Rebbe of Lubavitch, as attested to on the title page of this section.
