Moshe Yehuda Leib Landau, who had just been appointed rabbi of the city. [Bnei Brak, Elul 1986?].

Call for a demonstration and mass Shabbat prayers on the streets, in protest of the Shabbat desecration taking place in nearby cities. In those days, demonstrations were held every Shabbat in Petach Tikva in objection to the Hechal cinema being open on Shabbat. In this proclamation, the rabbis of Bnei Brak call to take part in the demonstrations against the terrible Shabbat desecration endangering the spiritual survival of the country.

Draft of a proclamation signed by 18 rabbis of Bnei Brak, protesting the affront to the honor of the elderly R. Moshe Aryeh Freund, head of the Edah HaCharedit in Jerusalem, who was attacked by policemen during the course of Shabbat demonstrations in Jerusalem. [Bnei Brak, Elul 1987].
Typewritten, with the handwritten signatures of the rabbis. The rabbis express their outrage at the policemen's blatant degradation of Torah. They continue by describing the virtue of Shabbat observance, and conclude with a prayer for the full repentance of their distant brethren and a blessing for a good new year (final few words handwritten by R. Wosner).

The letters are addressed to R. Yaakov Landau, Rabbi of Bnei Brak. The first three letters are entirely handwritten by the Tchebiner Rav, with his signature. The fourth letter is typewritten, with his handwritten signature.
Enclosed: Two letters from the son-in-law of the Tchebiner Rav, R. Baruch Shimon Schneersohn, addressed to R. Landau, relaying messages from his father-in-law.

Letter of Torah thoughts. R. Isser Zalman responds to R. Landau's remarks on topics discussed in his book Even HaEzel on the Rambam.
In response to R. Landau's question regarding cheese produced by non-Jews (R. Landau delt extensively with this halachic question at that time), R. Isser Zalman writes that he no longer issues halachic rulings (since leaving the Slutzk rabbinate in 1925).
