"Palestine and Roumania", by R' Haim Zvi Sneersohn (1834-1882), emissary, Chasid Chabad, of the old Yishuv in Eretz Israel and a messenger of Zionism. The composition consists of a compilation of essays and speeches delivered by Sneersohn to senior figures in the United States, concerning Eretz Israel (history of the country and present state of its inhabitants) and about Romanian Jewry. Sneersohn developed in this book his idea to establish a free independent Jewish state in Eretz Israel and called for improving the state of Romanian Jews.
