On the title page: hand signature by the holy Rabbi Israel, son in law of the Rabbi of Savran “Israel, son in law of the Rabbi of Savran” [the only signature known from Rabbi Israel of Savran]. Signatures by [his son] Rabbi “Levi Yitzchak”. Ownership ink stamps by the Gaon Rabbi Yosef Adler, Av Beit Din of Schassburg and Turda (on the signature of the Holy Rabbi of Savran).
Rabbi Israel of Savran was the son of the Maggid of Koznitz’s sister, and the son in law of the holy Rabbi Moshe Zvi of Savran. Many important dynasties of Admors and Tzaddikim came from his posterity: his son in law the holy Rabbi Meshulam Zusya of Zinkov-Apta, his son in law the holy Rabbi Yosef Alter Hager of Radowitz-Kosov, his son in law the holy Rabbi Yehuda Aryeh.
