Ten "Shanah Tovah" postcards. Different publishers, locations and printing dates, [the first half of the 20th century].
Among the postcards: A color postcard published by Altnayland (Warsaw), with a picture of a Jewish family leading a "Kaparot" ceremony (sent by mail in 1926); Real-photo postcards published by U.S.A. Studios – a baby girl wearing a holiday dress, surmounted by an illustration of a dove and a Shofar; color postcard published by Z. Reznik (Warsaw and New York); a postcard published by Hebrew Publishing Co., New-York; a print depicting the biblical deluge and an inscription: "Boldog ÚjÉvet" (Hungarian: "Happy new year"), with a line written by hand on the bottom: "LeShanah Tovah Tikatevi[!]" and a quotation of a verse from Noah Torah portion (sent by mail in 1913), and other postcards.
On the back of six postcards appears a handwritten inscription (in different languages) and on four appear ink-stamps and postal stamps. One postcard is undivided.
Size and condition vary. Average size: approx. 13.5X8.5 cm. Good overall condition. Minor blemishes (mostly on margins and on the backs).
