In approximately 1937 he moved to Jerusalem. His son-in-law, Rabbi Avraham Na'im Shichrur, among the Torah scholars of Jerusalem and Safed, served as rabbinical emissary of Kollels of Safed.

Manuscript, a sermon in the handwriting of Rabbi Benzion Meir Chai Uziel. Shabbat HaGadol "the seventh day after the death of my wife, my companion, the wife of my youth, Rosa from the house of Baruch". Tel Aviv, 1915. He talks about the events of the war and his personal distress on the passing of his wife. Rabbi Benzion Chai Uziel (1871-1953), born in Jerusalem in 1910, was appointed Chief Rabbi of the Sefardi community of Jaffa. In 1821, he left for Salonika (Greece) to serve as Chief Rabbi and in 1923, returned to serve as Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. In 1939, he was appointed Chief Rabbi and Rishon L'Zion in Eretz Israel. Wrote Mishpetei Uziel, Michmanei Uziel, HaShofet V'Hamishpat, etc.

* Large collection of leaf remnants [from binding archive] by rabbis of Morocco between the years 1830-1860, from the home of Rabbi Raphael Maman [1810-1863, rabbinical authority in Sefrou, holy genius, wealthy Torah supporter, son-in-law of Rabbi Shmuel Elbaz - Malchei Rabanan, leaf 106, page 2]. The collection contains remnants of Beit Din bills, Halachic responsa by Rabbi Raphael, letters in Jewish-Arabic and in Hebrew by various rabbis. Interesting letter by Rabbi David Mashash about the order of distributions to Kollels in Tiberias. Manuscript, "Schiyot HaChemda", prayers according to Kabbalah, recited from the day preceding the month of Nisan [Oriental handwriting, 18th-19th century].
"Schiyot HaChemda", composed by Rabbi Yom Tov Algazi, is a Tikun for the month of Nisan which contains prayers compiled from the book "Chemdat Yamim". The prayers are to be recited together with the reciting of Parashat HaNesi'im. The first edition was printed in Constantinople (1734) and it was printed in dozens of editions since.
Nine written pages, 18 cm, very good condition.

Many signatures of chairman and founder of the committee, Rabbi "Shmuel Yitzchak Hillman" (1868-1953), among the greatest rabbis of his generation, served in the rabbinate in Lithuania, Glasgow and from 1914 served in London as Chief Av Beit Din and head of rabbis for approximately twenty years. Immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1934. Father-in-law of Rabbi Yitzchak Eizik HaLevi Herzog Chief Rabbi of Eretz Israel.
Rabbi Polonsky, Rabbi Tikuchinsky and other rabbis and activists of the Yeshivot in Jerusalem participated in the union headed by Rabbi Hillman. Among the institutions included in the union: "Etz Chaim", "Chayei Olam", "Me'ah She'arim", "Shomrei HaChomot", "Torah VeYirah", "Beit Yetomim", "Tiferet Tzvi", "Yeshivat Zion" and others.

Contains listing of names and details of individuals who contributed to the Chevra Kadisha in order that Kaddish be recited for them. Records from the years 1816 until 1916 (apparently, the records from the early 19th century were copied into the registry at a later period).
Thirty-four pages (apparently missing 6 leaves in middle). 49 cm. Good condition, stains. Restored binding combined with original leather binding.
