Height of parchment: 46 cm. Maximum height of the "Atzei Chaim": Approx. 95 cm. Fair condition. Stains, including dark stains. Faded ink and blemishes. Later erasures and corrections in many places. Restored tears. Large open tears to several sheets (in Parashat Balak), affecting text, restored. The parchment is cut in a circular shape in the first and last sheets. Housed in a later velvet mantle.

Esther scroll. [Transylvania, ca. 19th/20th century].
Ink on parchment. Neat Ashkenazic Stam script. 42 lines per column. With tin case and lid. The bottom of the case and lid are engraved with the name of the owner, R. "Menachem Mendel Deutsch" – from whose estate the present Megillah derives.
R. Menachem Mendel Deutsch of Deyzh (ca. 1860s-1942), disciple of the Yitav Lev and close disciple of the Maaglei Tzedek of Deyzh. He immigrated to Eretz Israel and authored and published Mevi Tzedek.
Parchment scroll. 4 membranes, comprising 12 columns. Height of parchment: 36 cm. Good-fair condition. Stains and creases. Some letters were deleted and faded. The scroll is placed in an original tin case, with some warping.

Miniature Esther Scroll in Filigree Silver Case, presumably made by a "Bezalel" artisan (unmarked). [Jerusalem, ca. 1910-1920].
HaMelech scroll (all the columns begin with the word "HaMelech"); written in Stam script on four parchment membranes, 30 columns of text, 14 lines per column. The scroll is placed in a cylindrical filigree silver case, decorated with rich vegetal patterns, and topped with a crown-shaped ornament, covering a gilt dome.
Although the present case is unmarked, it is identical in technique and quality to cases produced in "Bezalel" in the first decades of the 20th century.
Height of case: approx. 16 cm; height of parchment: 5.5 cm. Overall good condition. Some minor blemishes and warping. The silver pull-piece sewn onto the first membrane does not bear the "Bezalel" mark and is therefore presumably not original. Minor wear and blemishes to parchment.
For comparison, see: "Bezalel 1906-1929", list of items in the exhibition, Jerusalem, 1983. Item nos. 717-721.
