75 chromolithographic cards depicting the holy sites of the various religions throughout Palestine. Each print is captioned in Russian, French and English (some are captioned in Italian as well). The cards are placed in an original card sleeve printed with the title and a Jerusalem cross.
The series was published by Boulos Meo, a store near the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem established in 1872 by a family of Italian origins. Initially a Persian carpet shop, the business eventually expanded to antiquities, postcards, photograph albums and other souvenirs from Palestine.
Cards: 13.5X9 cm. Good condition. Minor blemishes. Tears (including open tears) and wear to the sleeve.

Most of the postcards were sent by mail and bear postmarks and postage stamps of Palestinian post offices from the Ottoman period (including many postmarks of the Austrian post office in Jerusalem). Several of the postcards also bear stamps of pre-WWI Palestine guesthouses and hotels – Grand New Hotel A&J Morcos; Howard's Hotel; Lloyd Hotel Fast & Co.; and more.
