Schule auf dem Weg / School on the Road: a survey of the work of the Jewish school for refugees’ children in Vienna from 1946 to 1949. Vienna: H. Halpern; published with the aid of the Zionist Federation in Austria, [1949]. Hebrew and German.
Booklet describing the history of the Jewish school in Vienna for refugees’ children, most of whom came from the countries of Eastern Europe. A dedication to "The souls of schoolchildren, who were murdered during the Holocaust" appears at the top of the second page. The booklet includes photographs describing life at the school in the first years after the Holocaust and near the time of the establishment of the State of Israel. The cover of the booklet was illustrated by Pinchas Cohen, who taught painting at the school.
A dedication dated July 11, 1949 to the educator Menachem Zaharoni, who participated in establishing the school for the survivors in DP camps throughout Austria appears on the cover page: "To Comrade Menachem Zaharoni, a memento of his efforts and his work to support the children of the refugees in Austria. With appreciation, I. Rojtenberg." The dedication appears to have been written by Ilja Rojtenberg, the school principal.

Four "Shanah Tovah" greeting cards with photographs of the senders, with an illustrated symbol of the organization "Eschwege Binyamina", shaped as a Star of David. • "Shanah Tovah" card from Bari Displaced Persons Camp, with a photograph of a street in the camp and the name of the camp, the year and four Stars of David; "Shanah Tovah" card from Palese Displaced Persons camp with three photographs of the camp and an illustration of Binyamin Ze'ev Herzl.

"Prayer for the Welfare of the State of Israel (from "HaBoker," September 22, 1948)". Linz–Ebelsberg: Mizrachi Torah va-Avodah Center in Austria, Tishrei 5709 (1948).
Single leaf with the text of a Prayer for the Welfare of the State of Israel that was composed by Chief Rabbis Yitzhak HaLevi Herzog and Ben Zion Meir Hai Uziel. It was printed in the Ebelsberg DP camp near Linz, Austria. It is stamped "Bnei Akiwah Executive Holland" in the lower left-hand corner.
29X 20.5 cm. Good condition. Slight creases. Small tears at the edges, reinforced with acid-free tape.

Two specimen forms of "Imperial Ottoman Bank". [1863-1924]. French.
Both are marked "Specimen" in red.
1. Promissory note –the bank promises to pay to the holder of this certificate an agreed upon amount after the date appearing on the note. The digits "18" are printed in the space designated for the date.
24X13 cm. Good condition. Stains. Creases and folding marks. Filing holes (slightly affecting text). Uneven trimming at right margin.
2. "Certificat de Dépôt" (deposit certificate). In the space designated for the date appears the digits "19".

Imperial Ottoman Bank, founded in 1863 by a consortium of financial companies from England and France, was a private corporation, holding the franchise to issue banknotes and serve as the banking agent of the Ottoman Government. In 1873 the Swiss missionary and banker Johannes Frutiger, opened a bank in Jerusalem and served as the representative of the Imperial Ottoman Bank in Palestine until 1896 when he went bankrupt. In 1905 an official branch of the bank was opened in Jerusalem, and during the following year other branches were opened in Haifa and in Jaffa. In 1924 the bank changed its name to Ottoman Bank. The bank continued to operate in Palestine until 1953, when it was purchased by Bank Mercantile LeIsrael.

Twenty three checks issued by "Anglo-Palestine Bank", from the founding of the bank until the establishment of the State of Israel. Tel-Aviv, Jaffa, Jerusalem, Tiberias, London and elsewhere. Early 20th century through the 1940s.
Among them: three checks from the first decade of the 20th century; check from 1920 hand-signed by Meir Dizengoff – order to transfer ten thousand Egyptian Piastres to the archaeologist Yosef Algavish; check on a special form of the "Jewish Agency" – transfer of one thousand Palestine Pounds to Ein Harod during the War of Independence (May 1948); two checks issued by the Jewish Colonial Trust (that managed the bank in its early days); checks from branches in "Tiberias", "Hadar-Carmel", "Hadarom Branch" and more branches; and more.
Most checks are filled-in by hand, with ink-stamps and postage stamps. Some are hand-signed on the back.
Size and condition vary. Good overall condition.

The State of Israel’s first official series of coins. A boxed set prepared by Bank Leumi le-Israel, 1952–1954.
Nine coins of the following denominations: 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 250 (two coins), and 500 prutot, and a 25-mil coin, 1949. The 250 and 500 pruta coins are made of silver. The coins are in a blue plastic container with a transparent acrylic plate bearing the caption "State of Israel 1949–1950," with Israel’s state seal.
This coin series was prepared by Bank Leumi in 1952–1954 for visitors, tourists, and collectors. Approximately 300 of these sets are known to exist, with slightly different versions of the caption on the acrylic plate.
Size of the plastic container: 10X17.5 cm. The caption on the acrylic plate is partially worn away.
