Composite photograph mounted on cardboard, combining portraits of the editors, publishers, managers, and writers of HaShiloah journal from Volume 1 to Volume 25. Odessa: HaShiloah, [1912?].
This composite photograph is comprised of rows upon rows of small portraits of the writers of HaShiloah. Among those photographed: The editors, Asher Ginsberg (Ahad Ha’am), Joseph Klausner, and Haim Nahman Bialik, the publisher Menahem Ussishkin, and the manager Haim Katznelson, as well as many of the important Jewish writers of the early twentieth century: Yosef Haim Brenner, Shaul Tchernichovsky, Max Nordau, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda, and others.
The publisher’s name appears in the lower right-hand corner, and the caption "Photographia ‘Vereshchagin,’ Odessa…" appears in the lower left-hand corner.

The photograph, which depicts Rabbi Kook speaking with Churchill, was evidently taken in 1921 during Churchill’s visit to Palestine during his term as Secretary of State for the Colonies. During the visit, Churchill stayed in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and other locations, and met with many public figures.

Hundert deutsche Fliegerbilder aus Palästina [One Hundred Aerial Photographs of Palestine], edited by Gustaf Dalman, "Schriften des Deutschen Palästina-Instituts; 2. Band" (a series of writings of German Evangelical Institute for Research of Ruins in the Holy Land in Jerusalem, volume 2). A paper sticker bearing the name of the publisher, "Der Rufer," was placed over the printer’s information on the title page. Gütersloh, Germany, 1925. German.
A work containing reproductions of one hundred aerial photographs of Paletsine that were taken by the German army during World War I (acquired from an archive in Bavaria), with an introduction and detailed explanations by the scholar Gustaf Dalman, the first director of the German Evangelical Institute for Research of Ruins in the Holy Land in Jerusalem. A folded plate appears at the end of the book – a map of Palestine. The book includes a bookmark with a transparency upon it.
158 pp. + [1] folded map, 32 cm. Good condition. Several pages are loose. Stains, mainly upon the map. A handwritten inscription on one of the front endpapers.

The first volume is titled "La Porte D'Entrée Jaffa" [Entry gate to Jaffa] and compiles 449 photographs. The second volume is titled "Jaffa La Belle" [Beautiful Jaffa] and compiles 371 photographs. A relevant verse from the Bible, the Talmud, or the Koran is printed beside each photograph. An additional photograph is pasted on each of the front covers. Edition of 1000 copies (the volumes presented here are not numbered).

Approx. 60 photographs arranged in an album, prepared as a souvenir for Malka Teblinsky, a kindergarten teacher from Bialystok who immigrated to Palestine in the 1920s. Tel-Aviv, Tel-Hai, Acre and other locations in Palestine and Europe, ca. 1920s.
The album includes numerous photographs of Teblinsky with kindergarten children (during Hanukkah, during a visit to a dairy in Tel-Aviv, working in a garden and more); numerous photographs of workers and pioneers (preparing cement blocks, paving roads, building barracks and buildings, and more); and photographs of views in Palestine (group visit to the Roaring Lion memorial in Tel-Hai, bicycle ride in the fields, photographs from the beach, and more). The album also includes about twenty photographs from the period prior to her immigration to Palestine, documenting her life and work as a kindergarten teacher in Europe.
On the first page appears a handwritten dedication (in Yiddish, partially deleted) to Teblinsky from her cousin, Hannah.
Most photographs are divided on the back for use as a postcard. Four photographs are stamped by the photographers: "Z. Brill"; "Zalmania D. Pozen"; and A. Tikotskj". A number of photographs are titled and dated by hand (on the margins and on the back) or in the plate (in Hebrew).
Size and condition vary. Average size: approx. 14X9 cm. Good-fair overall condition. Stains and blemished (mostly slight). A number of photographs are mounted on album's leaves or attached with adhesive tape. One photograph is missing a corner.
Album size: approx. 35.5 cm. Fair condition. Stains, creases and small tears (at margins and at the openings for insertion of photographs, some restored with adhesive tape). Some worming. Decorated binding, rubbed, with tears and defects.

The photographs are numbered, titled and hand-signed on the bottom by the photographer Arthur Bauer (English, one postcard is signed and titled in Hebrew). A printed inscription appears on the back of six postcards: "Photo – Barak, Jerusalem" the the seventh postcard is stamped on the back - "Barak" (Photo Barak studio, founded in Jerusalem in 1935 by photographer Arthur Bauer).
