Matzmiach Yeshua, commentary on the Mordechai, by Rabbi Yehoshua Heschel son of Rabbi Meir. Nowy Dwór, [1782]. Ownership notations and many stamps of the Admor Rabbi “Simcha Bunim son of Rabbi Mordechai Menachem Mendel… of Varka who is presently in Otvotzk”.
The Admor Rabbi Simcha Bunim Kalish (1851-1907, Otzar HaRabbanim 19761), son of the Admor Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Varka. Was appointed as Admor in his youth, established a Beit Midrash in Otvotzk and became famous for his extraordinary conduct and meticulous zealousness. In the first immigration wave to Eretz Israel he was expelled by the Turks, however after a short while he succeeded to immigrate again, settled alone in Tiberias and after a number of months passed away and was buried there.
