Rabbi Aryeh Leib Ben R' D. Hershler (died 1916), an important Dayan in Jerusalem. Student of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Baharan in Torah and in public matters. One of the founders of the "Beit Yisrael" and "Givat Shaul" neighborhoods. Member of court that consisted of the Turkish Pasha, the Moslem Quaddi, the Greek Patriarch and the Jewish Rabbi Leib, he represented with much wisdom the Jewish people in the city.
