Four parts (Bereshit, Shemot, Vayikra, Bamidbar-Devarim) in three volumes. Complete set.
Printed on the margins of this important edition are "Glosses and commentaries by our holy rabbis". Among them are the first printing of the Chida's glosses. The Chida's introduction appears at the beginning of Part 1 (titled MiKedem L'Ayin - Da MeAyin - acronyms). He signed his glosses in every place "MeAyin".
Several long glosses in Italian Hebrew script. Inscribed at the beginning of the first volume, after the "Prayer before studying kabbalah of the Ari" is another prayer by the same writer.
Original leather bindings, with gilt ornamentation and the inscription "V.A.".
Three volumes. [8], 251; 19 leaves; 279 leaves; 115 leaves; [1], 117-312 leaves. 22 cm. Overall good condition. Stains. Worming in several places affecting text. Tears to the seven last leaves of the third volume, some open tears and damage to text, repaired with paper.
