Yeven Metzula, tells of the decrees and wars in Russia, Lithuania and Poland, by Rabbi Natan Neta Hanover. Venice. [1653], Vindramina Printing Press.
An important chronicle of the history of the decrees of Tach and Tat (1648-1649) and the wars in Russia, Lithuania and Poland and the Tatar and Cossack Revolt led by Bogdan Chmielnitzki.
Rabbi Natan Neta Hanover (Otzar HaRabbanim 16425), a gaon and mekubal, Rabbi in Zaslov, Livorno, Iasi and other places. He saw with his own eyes the destruction of communities in the years 1648 and 1649 and documented the history in this booklet, which is one of the primary sources of the history of that period. Author of Sha'arei Tzion and Safa Berura.
On the last page, a lamentation by the proofreader Ya'akov ben Naftali "of Gnesen near Posen", begins with the words: "Friends Community of Holy and Blessed People".
Erased owners' inscriptions on title page. Library stamps.
