An issue of "Yediot Ma'ariv" and an illustrated supplement to the newspaper from the day the State of Israel was established.
1. An issue from May 14. Its title: "The Mandate is Dead! Long Live Our State!" (Hebrew). Contains news about the departure of the High Commissioner, the establishment of the Israeli government, the battles in Gush Etzion and Jerusalem, the fear of the invasion of Arab countries to Israel, and more.
[4] pp, 43 cm. Good condition. A few stains. Fold lines and minor creases. Small tears along edges and fold lines. Several small holes in the margins (not affecting the text).
2. "The Face of the Mandate from Beginning to End, an illustrated Supplement for May 15 1948" (Hebrew) (Printed on the Day of the Israeli Declaration of Independence and added as a "Supplement for Sabbath" to the issue of that day). Contains dozens of pictures from the period of the Mandate, a list of important events and maps depicting various layouts for the division of the country.
