On title page a cutoff signature: Yosef Birdugo. On the margins, many glosses in Rabbi Yosef Birdugo's handwriting, who signs some of them with the name: Yavin (acronym of his name). Additional glosses in Oriental handwriting by several people [rabbis of the Birdugo family], a few are signed Adam Nero (acronym).
Rabbi Yosef Birdugo - Yavin (1802-1854, Malchei Rabbanan page 58), was a prominent Rabbi amongst Morrocan and Western scholars. After the death of Ya'akov Birdugo, he served as Rabbi and Leader of the congregation in Meknes until his death. Author of Ketonet Yosef [3 parts] and Divrei Yosef responsa.
